Welcome to Farmington Hills Church of God. We are a group of people just like you--walking on the journey of life and discovering God's love and purposes for our lives.

We are glad you have found us on the web. If you are looking for a church home, we encourage you to take advantage of the following:

• Participate in any or all of the church activities listed in our church newsletter or the current announcements.
• Come and Worship at 10:30 a.m. and check out our adult “School for Christian Living” classes at 9:30 a.m. -- while your children take advantage of the age graded Sunday School classes. (Note: During the summer months, there is no Sunday School and Worship meets at 9:30 a.m.)
• A "Newcomers’ Class" meets for four weeks at several times throughout the year. Our pastor, Gordon Steinke, facilitates this class. This is an opportunity for you to get to know the church as well as other church families. Come with your questions. This is a “check-it-out” class with no strings attached.
• Ask questions. We are here to serve YOU!

Joining a Church -- Church Home? Membership?
Choosing a church home is an important decision. You want a place where you can feel comfortable, develop friendships, grow spiritually and become involved in service. We encourage you to take as much time as you need in order to make this decision.

Joining Farmington Hills Church of God is an uncomplicated process. A person may identify this as their "church home" at any time. This can be done simply by calling the church office, checking the appropriate box on the Friendship Pads, or by talking with Pastor Gordon Steinke. In making it your "church home" you are merely telling us that you want to be a regular part of the life of this church family. On a regular basis we publish a directory (name, address and phone number) of everyone who calls this their church home.

"Becoming a Member" of the church is a spiritual process. We believe that when a person accepts Jesus Christ as Personal Savior, God makes you a member of the church. It does not matter what your religious background is, how long you have been attending church, or how much or little you know about the Bible.

We do encourage everyone to take advantage of our Newcomers' Classes taught by Pastor Gordon Steinke. It is a brief introduction to the church, our core beliefs, our practices and it explains what it means to know Jesus as your Savior.
